FirmaCerta - How to verify a signed file (MacOS)

After loading the file to be verified and clicking on Verify, a summary window will be displayed.

Note: if the wording "the signature certificate has not been verified" appears, it means that the verification process has not been started automatically (to activate it automatically at the opening of the file, it will be necessary to modify manually the Verification Options). Alternatively, the verification process must be manually started by clicking on Verify.

Example: In this case the file is called test.png.p7m and it has been signed by the user TESTCOGNOME TESTNOME.

In the left column it’s possible to view the digitally signed file and the person who signed it.
In the right column it’s possible to find the result of the verification process and the Details of the certificate, that is:

  • the type of signature and its validity
  • the Certification Authority that issued the certificate
  • the holder's data
