Does the signer need to configure their Smart Card/USB Token device before signing?

Yes, a signer using a qualified signature certificate on a Smart Card/USB Token device must have the Significant Device Driver installed on their signature device; if the signer has not installed this driver, eSignAnyWhere (eSAW) will prompt the user to download and install it before allowing the signature to be added via a Smart Card/USB Token.

Moreover, in order to read the certificates correctly, we recommend downloading and installing the BIT4ID middleware on the device that will use the Smart Card/USB Token:
